In order to get the scheduler firing, I ran the following:
sudo nano /var/www/vtigercrm/config.inc.php
Add “$MINIMUM_CRON_FREQUENCY = 1;” #increases the firing frequency minimum from every 15 min to every 1 min
sudo crontab -e -u www-data
Add * * * * * sh /var/www/vtigercrm/cron/vtigercron.sh
